Who we are

www.silkfred.com is operated by SpaceChica Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16899868, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. SilkFred is a trading name operated by SpaceChica Ltd. These terms apply to purchases made on the Site — please read them before ordering.

Ordering

You must be at least 18 to place an order. When you place an order you’ll receive an order confirmation email — this is when a contract between us is formed. If we can’t accept your order, for example because an item is unavailable or there is a pricing error, we’ll tell you and refund anything you have paid.

Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. The payment methods currently available for your order are also displayed at checkout and are processed securely by our payment providers. If we discover a genuine pricing error before dispatch, we’ll contact you to reconfirm or cancel your order.

Delivery

The delivery options, estimates and charges available for your address are shown at checkout and summarized on our Shipping & Returns page. Delivery is complete when the parcel is delivered to the address you gave us, at which point responsibility for the items passes to you. Ownership passes when we have received payment in full.

Cancellations and returns

For most online purchases, you have 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us that you want to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to send them back. Full details, including how to start a return and where to send it, are on our Returns & Refunds page.

Faulty items

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, items must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If something is wrong, please use our Contact page and we’ll provide the appropriate remedy and return instructions.

Our liability

We’re responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence. We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. We’re not liable for business losses — the Site is for consumers only.

Events beyond our control

We’re not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If a substantial delay occurs we’ll contact you, and you may cancel affected orders for a full refund.

Using the Site

All content on the Site — text, images, logos and design — is owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. You may use the Site only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.

General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
