March is the month when I genuinely start to get excited about spring outfits. By the 31st, the sun won’t set until 7.32pm, and brighter days are coming.
Top of my list is bringing some fun prints into my wardrobe, along with tracking down a comfy day dress, and experimenting with lighter layers like blazers and leather jackets.
Events coming up in my calendar are spring weddings, pints for St. Patrick’s Day, and a girls’ dinner for International Women’s Day. March also happens to be my birthday month, which gives me licence to invest in a standout dress, right?
Versatile Dresses
Day To Night Midi
This zebra print shirt dress makes a statement at just about any event, from brunch plans to work meetings and dinner dates. It buttons all the way through, which lets you adjust the leg split and neckline as you like, and has a flattering tie belt to highlight your waist. Dress it up with heels for a fancy event or pair with fresh white trainers for day drinks.
Do It All Denim
A denim dress is one of my go-tos for pub drinks (hello, St Patrick’s Day) or a weekend lunch. This one is especially body flattering with its knee length, fitted shape, and I’m a big fan of this deep indigo colourway. Finish the look with a pair of suede ankle boots or go casual in your favourite flats.
Dressy Tops
Printed Pussybow
This elegant printed pussybow blouse makes an impact whether you’re on a work call or out to dinner. Great with blue jeans, white denim, or leather trousers, this is the perfect piece if you want to pair something striking on your top half with casual bottoms.
Polka Peplum
Obsessed with this polka peplum top, it creates such a lovely hourglass shape and comes in a beautiful multi-spot print. Dress it up with black skinnies or leather jeans and heels, or down with shorts and trainers.
Light Layers
Colourful Blazer
It’s (slowly) getting warmer and I’m looking to lighten up my layers. The oversized longline blue blazer will brighten up any outfit and is so easy to layer over simple outfit combos like jeans and a logo tee, or pair with your fave LBD if you’re going out in the evening.
Spring Biker
This faux leather biker jacket in pastel green is the ideal refresher for your spring wardrobe. Designed with an it an asymmetric zip and side pockets, it can be thrown over some light blue jeans, chunky trainers and a white ribbed top for weekend drinks or a Sunday stroll.
