In this post Georgie Mitchell, Wedding Expert Extraordinaire (@georgina.rose.events) shares her expect knowledge on how to pack for a hen do.
Packing for a hen do is HARD WORK! Especially when you usually have no clues about the holiday plans that await you.
Will they be kind? Will you be dressed as a chicken? Will you have to carry around a blow up man the whole trip?
These are problems I cannot help with, but I can help with a hen do pack list and some tips for your bridal party!
Here is a link to the hen do packing list but if you’re a bridesmaid seeing this, feel free to tweak and add any information the Bride may need.
This is what your Bride needs;
- Day themes – let the bride know a theme for each day – whether that’s active, fun, glam, comfy – this will give her a rough idea of the vibe – don’t worry, you don’t need to give away any clues
- Colour prompts – Let’s assume most days it’s white for the bride, but it’s good to let her know when white is essential
- Footwear tips – This girl needs to know is it’s a trainers day, heels, flip flops – shoes are one of the hardest things to pack right
- Help pack – This comes in your bridesmaid duties, help the poor girl pack. You can then steer her in the right direction for outfits needed
The biggest tip I can give you is to COMMUNICATE!
It’s hard for the bridesmaids to plan and keep things a secret, and it’s hard to be the Bride and not no what to pack – so let’s just keep up the communication.
