Is it really Christmas until you’ve watched Love Actually?
We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we were treated to numerous iconic moments such as Hugh Grant sliding his way across the hallway of Number 10 Downing Street, to that necklace that broke all of our hearts…
However, one thing we can’t help but notice is that the festive favourite also serves some serious fashion inspo. From sleek roll neck jumpers to the winter wedding dress of our dreams, 20 years on we still have a lot to learn from this Christmas classic.
With this in mind, we’ve rounded up four of our favourite looks from Love Actually that have proved to stand the test of time (long since people stopped filming weddings with a video recorder)…
1. ALL Of The Roll Neck Jumpers
First things first, what would the winter season be without a roll neck? Fashionable and warm, we can deal with feeling slightly suffocated all day for that sleek put-together look that dominates Love Actually fashion.
We can’t get enough of Mia’s all-black roll neck, paired with a black mini skirt; the timeless look we can recreate each and every year.
2. Joanna’s One-Shoulder Sequined Number
We’re a big believer in the sparklier the better, and there’s no character in Love Actually that solidifies that more than Joanna as she belts out ‘All I Want for Christmas’ (with a pretty killer drummer FYI). Please tell us hair tinsel isn’t reserved for those under 13 years old?!

3. The Necklace That Broke All Of Our Hearts
Ok, so it’s probably one of the saddest moments in the film and we wouldn’t be surprised if you skipped it all together. However, does it make us bad people that we really love the necklace? A classic gold necklace is one of the most timeless pieces of jewellery we can own.
4. Juliet’s Wedding Dress
There is no film wedding dress that is quite as romantic as Juliet’s. Like or loathe this controversial character, this dress nailed the ethereal winter aesthetic.
