Does anyone else miss summer already?

Yes, I know that it’s still *technically* summertime, but it’s just not the same is it? The nights are turning nippy and most of my weekend plans have moved from ‘al fresco’ to ‘in casa’.

But, as the world and the weather moves on, I’m still clinging to the strappy vest tops and floaty maxis that populate my wardrobe. I need something to help me move on from my flings with summery things.

Enter: the oversized blazer.

Part smart, part casual thanks to its roomy fit, this cover-up is all kinds of versatile. Plus, it offers a solution to my weather-based woes. I love teaming an oversized blazer with flouncy skirts, sleek shorts and my go-to jeans so that I can keep wearing my hot weather outfits well into those awkward autumnal months.

1. Daytime Plans

Whether you’re running errands or sprinting to the pub, your day-to-day agenda calls for comfy, fuss-free dressing. Wear the plush nude blazer with a cropped vest top, a silky-soft wrap skirt and fresh white trainers.

2. Girls’ Night

Heading for a couple of cocktails (plus two Jägerbombs and a 3am doner kebab) with the girls? Team your martinis with an oversized blazer, sleek faux leather shorts and gold accessories.

3. Office Chic

Oversized blazers work as well in the boardroom as they do at the bar. If you’re returning to the office soon, this wear-anywhere blazer pairs beautifully with black trousers, a crisp white shirt and colour pop heels.
